Welcome to Skiller

Skiller is an online, peer-to-peer marketplace that connects people who need casual, everyday tasks completed ("Clients") with local individuals offering their practical skills ("Skiller's").

Skiller is a venue only. We do not perform tasks, nor do we employ the individuals who do. Skiller merely provides the platform to facilitate these neighborly connections.

1. Peer-to-Peer Nature & Limitation of Liability

  • No Professional Affiliation: Skiller is strictly for peer-to-peer connections. Taskers operate as independent entities and are not employees, independent contractors, partners, or agents of Skiller.

  • Verification Disclaimer: While Skiller performs basic identity verification and third-party background checks on registered Taskers for platform safety, we do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of these checks.

  • Assumption of Risk: Users acknowledge that inviting someone into their home or entering another user’s property carries inherent risks. Skiller does not guarantee, control, or take responsibility for the quality, safety, legality, timing, or condition of the work performed. You assume all risks associated with booking and executing tasks through the platform.

2. User Accounts and Eligibility

To use Skiller, you must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming legally binding contracts. By creating an account, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.

  • Maintain the security and confidentiality of your account credentials.

  • Be fully responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

3. Code of Conduct & Platform Rules

To keep our community safe and reliable, all users agree to never:

  • Harass, intimidate, stalk, defame, or cause physical or emotional harm to any other user.

  • Misrepresent their skills, qualifications, pricing, availability, or previous work photos.

  • Use the platform to find a user and then complete the booking or payment "off-platform" (disintermediation) to avoid platform fees.

  • Post illegal, dangerous, or highly regulated tasks (e.g., licensed plumbing/electrical overhauls, hazardous waste removal, or tasks requiring professional certifications).

4. Payments, Cancellations, and Disputes

  • Payment Processing: All payments for tasks, including any applicable platform service fees, must be processed securely through the Skiller app's designated payment gateway.

  • Fulfillment: Taskers agree to complete booked jobs as described. Clients agree to pay the agreed-upon rate upon successful completion of the task. Providers receive payment after the buyer's rating or 24 hours

  • Cancellations: Cancellations are subject to Skiller’s dynamic cancellation policy. Repeated last-minute cancellations by either party may result in penalties or account restrictions.

  • Dispute Resolution: In the event of a disagreement regarding task completion or quality, users agree to first attempt to resolve the issue directly and respectfully through platform communication channels. If a resolution cannot be reached, users may submit a dispute to Skiller support for non-binding mediation. Disputes must be filed within 24 hours of completion. Refunds are processed after review and approval.

5. Termination of Service

Skiller reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to modify, suspend, or terminate any user account, without notice or liability, for violations of these Terms, behavior that harms the community, or if a user accumulates poor ratings and reviews.

Payments are processed securely via the app. Cancellations may incur platform fees.
